Agenda Item: Crisis Management of the Ottoman Empire During World War I
During World War I, the Ottoman Empire witnessed various situations in both domestic and foreign policies. Known as the "Sick Man of Europe" due to its perceived weakening before the war, the Empire became one of the participants in the largest war the world had seen up to that time. The Ottoman Empire fought not only within its own borders but also on those of its allies. Additionally, it struggled with rebellions and crises within its territories alongside the battles on the frontlines.
Participants will spend the first three days discussing decisions, actions, and policies regarding ‘Crisis Management of the Ottoman Empire During World War I’, focusing on both military and political management of the state during the war. By the end of the war, they will approve a peace treaty based on the prevailing circumstances.
